Open Video Capture from DigitByte Studio is a small application that will help you capture video from different devices like a webcam, TV Tuner card, digital camera and more. You can set audio and video compression codecs, output frame size and rate. It also allows you to take snapshots with a hotkey.
This program has an easy to use interface where you can set device's properties, preview and record real-time video, or watch TV if TV Tuner is installed. It supports an open compression system for video and audio and encodes AVI files with DIVX, XVID, Windows Media Audio and Video Codec, DV Video Encoder, etc.
If you would like to record video in your computer and want an easy and simple tool without many complications, this might be the application you are looking for. I found this program expensive but you can test it by downloading a free trial available at the developer's site (in this demo you can only capture a maximum of one minute).
